The one who
looks like
she is sneering
isn’t sneering –
she’s a trifle
hard of hearing
and she finds
that when she
squinches up
her nose
and cheeks
it seems to help
her understand
the words another
person speaks
a little better.
As for the others,
I’ve no clue.
Though I suspect
if you decide
to introduce
yourself they will,
with zeal,
reveal the spirit
and the letter
of their separate
points-of-view.
