At Last!

We understand they stood up

in a lake and sang in three-part

harmony which never was in tune –

till soon the lake just couldn’t

take it anymore: and so began

to undertake creating the conditions

which would carry out the mission

of consuming them. Drowned –

at last! – they do not make a sound.
