But I Say

Wouldn’t saying

“Everything’s a miracle”

be as uninteresting as saying

“Everything that’s

spherical is round”?

If everything’s a miracle,

then nothing is a miracle.

Surely, logically, that’s sound.

But I say everything’s a miracle

and nothing can’t astound.

Sometimes this is why, I think,

not everybody wants me

to keep peering

up their noses

and canoodling around.
