Two conditions of Existence manifest
in Mort and Andrew: friends who seekcontrasting ends.
Mort disseminates a chronic spectacle
of skeptical distress.
Andrew spreads a fine complacency
beneath, above, beyond and over all
his fraught companion’s nervousness.
Each intends a clear corrective
to the other’s limited perspective.
It gives them something to address.
