A Blessèd Duo-Ridden Dawn

Some like their deities

in threes

but I’d choose

getting gods in twos –

two is company, three’s a crowd,

two is humble, three is proud,

two is quiet, three is loud.

So let us couple up and stay

with my divine frost-blue-haired lady

and her wise beige hanger-on

and pray they’ll take us

to their blest and blessèd

duo-ridden dawn.
