Oh! That reminds me of the time I clung like slime
to him, imagining there was no other way to will or whim
or stray through life! And oh, look at the thoughts grotesquely
grown protuberantly off that head – recalling when it felt like
crime to go to bed, my psyche torturing each crook and nanny
of itself with strife – until the heterogeneity of me could not imagine
forging anywhere behind, below, above, ahead! Oh, the meanings,
omens, inferences and intentions come so thick, so rife, so quick,so dense! Oh, the galling pressure to make sense!
