The shapes of
angels may proceed
from any number
of imponderable things
(there’s no
requirement for wings).
There is one constant,
though –
a transmutation
every angel undergoes –
and that is
to retain the plain reflection
of a human
being’s eyes and cheeks
and lips and
nose. We wouldn’t know
that they were angels without those..
