That they
were members of a species not his own
alone made his
new confidants a prize –
they helped
him see through startlingly
unprecedented
eyes extraordinary angles
he could
utilize to broach new understandings
he would
never have been able to approach
through any
sense of fitness, truth, assumption
or surmise that
he had heretofore been certain had
been wise. Now
aided by these new illuminations
from the
confidences of his confidants, the Universe
already had assumed
a different shape and size.
He did
however sometimes wonder worryingly
to himself how
he could ever know if what his
confidants were telling him were lies..
