Ever since, five weeks ago,
her husband Walter died,
Adele had felt a constant
presence
by her side – though never
visible,
she grew quite certain it
was there,
and just as certain that
it wasn’t
Walter. Her sense of the
Beyond
began to falter. Did
random
thoughtless spirits visit on
a whim?
And Walter – what became of
him?
Was he haunting someone other
than Adele? (Was he in
Hell?)
Meanwhile her sense intensified
that this new otherworldly
visitor had joined his
ectoplasmic ride
to her incarnate one. Who knew,
perhaps he’d prove, as
Lord knows
Walter never had, to be some fun.
